Responsibilities :

  • Patient Care : Provide skilled therapy services under the supervision of a Physical Therapist.
  • Therapeutic Interventions : Implement treatment plans, including therapeutic exercises, gait training, and assistive device training.
  • Patient Education : Educate patients and families on techniques to improve functional skills and independence.
  • Documentation : Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient progress, treatment plans, and interventions.
  • Collaboration : Work collaboratively with Physical Therapists, occupational therapists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
  • Infection Control : Adhere to strict infection control guidelines to protect both patients and healthcare workers.

Requirements :

  • Certification : Current and valid Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) license in the state of Florida.
  • Experience : Minimum of 6 months of experience hospital, skilled nursing facility, or rehab facility is required.
  • Skills : Excellent communication, interpersonal, and critical thinking skills.
  • Professionalism : Strong work ethic, reliability, and a commitment to providing quality care.
  • Transportation : Reliable transportation to visit patients in their homes.
