OVERVIEW
We are seeking a talented and experienced Executive Director of Corporate Development and Communications to join our Leadership Team.
Reporting to the CEO, this role is integral to the strategic growth and success of CCS and its affiliated agencies. This position will oversee all aspects of fundraising, donor relations, and communications, playing a key role in advancing our mission and expanding our impact.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Establish and accomplish development and communication goals outlined in the Strategic Plan for CCS.
- Provide staff support to the CCS Foundation Board of Directors and related Committees.
- Coordinate fundraising efforts, including annual giving, major gifts, special events, and planned giving programs.
- Develop and monitor expense budgets and revenue resources to implement action plans effectively.
- Recruit, supervise, and support staff and volunteers to execute development initiatives.
- Coordinate with consultants and stakeholders to support capital projects and specialized campaigns.
- Assess readiness for implementing a planned giving program and oversee philanthropic grant applications.
- Drive the development and implementation of donor and organizational communications plans across various media platforms.
- Provide regular progress reports to the CEO and Foundation Board on financial goals and strategic objectives.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Suitable work experience may be considered as transferable skills in order to meet minimum requirements of the position and will be considered by the Executive Director of Human Resources.
- Bachelor Degree in Marketing, Communications, Nonprofit Administration, Public Administration, or related field
- 8 years of nonprofit donor relations experience, with a minimum of 5 years in a development department
REGULATORY
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Valid driver license, proof of insurance, and 39-month motor vehicle report
- Ability to obtain and maintain Arizona Level One Fingerprint Clearance Card and FBI National Criminal Records History Report (employer paid)
- Pass pre-employment drug screen (incudes marijuana, regardless of recreational use laws) (employer paid)
DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Master Degree in Marketing, Communications, Nonprofit Administration, Public Administration, or related field
- Additional years of directly-related experience in development and communications
