Summary :

As an electrical technician at FET Dynacon you will play a crucial role in the assembly and manufacturing of electrical systems.

The Electrical Technician will also be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems and equipment, with a focus on 480-volt 3-phase systems.

This role also includes reading blueprints, constructing and wiring electrical panels, and performing some facility maintenance tasks.

The ideal candidate will have excellent troubleshooting skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.

In addition to the electrical assembly you will performs electrical up-keep and repairs of facilities, buildings and equipment.

Must be able to troubleshoots, diagnoses and makes necessary repairs. Maintains an organized, safe and clean work area.

Job Duties / Responsibilities :

• Construct, populate, and wire electrical panels and interconnects according to specifications.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose electrical issues, providing timely and effective solutions.
• Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems, including 480-volt 3-phase systems.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
• Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on electrical equipment.
• Performs facility maintenance tasks, such as HVAC systems, plumbing, and general building repairs.
• Ensure all electrical work complies with local, state, and federal regulations and safety standards.
• Collaborate with other team members to support overall operations.
• Maintain accurate records of all electrical work performed, including maintenance logs and repair reports.
• Assist in the planning and implementation of facility upgrades and improvements.
• Respond to emergency electrical issues promptly and efficiently.
• Provide technical support and guidance to other team members as needed.

Skills / Knowledge

• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, including wiring, circuits, and control systems.
• Proficient in using electrical testing and diagnostic tools.
• Must be able to operate a forklift, overhead crane, and manlift.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
• Experience in the construction, population, and wiring of electrical panels.
• Excellent troubleshooting skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Ability to lift and carry heavy equipment and work in various environmental conditions.

Experience :

• High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification or associate degree in electrical technology preferred.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience as an electrical technician, with specific experience in 480 / 690-volt 3-phase systems.

This is a safety sensitive position.
