LHH is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Project Manager for an exciting, contract-to-hire role based out of Fresno, CA.
The primary role of the Project Manager is to oversee the construction and setup of EV charging stations both locally, and for remote project sites across the US.
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of the project lifecycle, from planning and design to execution and commissioning.
This is a contract to hire position, offering an excellent opportunity to contribute to the advancement of green technology and infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities :
Project Planning and Initiation :
Develop comprehensive project plans, including scope, schedule, budget, and resource allocation.
Conduct site assessments and feasibility studies to determine optimal locations for EV charging stations.
Obtain necessary permits, approvals, and regulatory compliance for construction projects.
Project Execution :
Coordinate and manage all phases of EV charging station construction, ensuring adherence to timelines and budgets.
Oversee procurement and delivery of materials, equipment, and services required for project completion.
Manage subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers, ensuring high-quality workmanship and adherence to safety standards.
Stakeholder Management :
Collaborate with internal teams, including engineering, procurement, and operations, to ensure project alignment and success.
Communicate regularly with clients, providing updates on project progress, addressing concerns, and ensuring customer satisfaction.
Maintain strong relationships with local authorities, utilities, and other external stakeholders.
Quality Control and Risk Management :
Implement and enforce quality control measures to ensure compliance with project specifications and industry standards.
Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to address project challenges.
Conduct regular site inspections and audits to monitor progress and ensure safety protocols are followed.
Project Closure :
Ensure successful project handover to operations and maintenance teams.
Conduct post-project evaluations to identify lessons learned and areas for improvement.
Prepare and submit project documentation, including as-built drawings, manuals, and final reports.
Qualifications :
Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, or a related field.
Minimum of 5 years of project management experience in construction, preferably in EV charging infrastructure or related industries.
Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale construction projects from inception to completion.
Strong understanding of construction processes, regulations, and standards.
Excellent organizational, leadership, and communication skills.
Proficiency in project management software and tools.
PMP or equivalent certification is a plus.
Ability to travel to project sites as required.
