Job Description :

  • Enjoy an average annual pay between $75,000 and $100,000+, with unlimited earning potential!

  • This position is based out of : 6720 North 9th Street, Omaha, NE 6811.
  • A generous $5,000 sign-on bonus awaits you. Please note, individuals who have been employed by a Performance Food Group (PFG) owned company within the last 6 months are unfortunately ineligible for this bonus.

  • Position Purpose :

    Foodservice delivery drivers are vital to maintaining the nation's food supply chain. As a delivery driver, you ensure that products reach their destinations safely and punctually, while also representing our company and building lasting relationships with customers!

    Your primary responsibilities will include operating a tractor trailer or straight truck for local, over-the-road (OTR), shuttle, and layover routes to deliver food and related products in compliance with Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations.

    Primary Responsibilities :

  • Professional interaction with customers, vendors, and colleagues to accurately and promptly address inquiries.
  • Function effectively as a team member, taking on various duties as necessary to support the organization.
  • Conduct safety checks including pre / post-trip inspections to ensure compliance with DOT regulations.
  • Report safety issues or required repairs without delay.
  • Adhere to all DOT mandates and company safety protocols.
  • Identify and report safety hazards immediately; ensure proper loading and securement of freight.
  • Perform inventory checks and verify customer invoices for loaded products.
  • Complete all necessary paperwork associated with freight accurately and legibly.
  • Move the tractor to the loading dock and attach preloaded trailers as needed.
  • Deliver customer orders following a predetermined route schedule.
  • Unload products and transport them into designated storage areas at customer locations.
  • Conduct damage control checks and communicate discrepancies to a supervisor as per company policy.
  • Confirm delivery accuracy with customers and obtain required signatures.
  • Collect payments where applicable; ensure secure loading of customer returns onto the trailer.
  • Maintain security of the tractor, trailer, and cargo at all times.
  • Handle the return of damaged goods and customer returns effectively, ensuring all required paperwork is completed.
  • Keep accurate logs of your hours of service in accordance with federal, state, and company guidelines.
  • Carry out general housekeeping tasks to maintain cleanliness in the tractor and loading dock area.
  • Secure all equipment and complete documentation at the end of your shift.
  • Complete additional related tasks as assigned.
  • Qualifications :

  • Minimum 12 months of commercial driving experience.
  • High school diploma, GED, or state-approved equivalent.
  • Valid CDL A license.
  • Compliance with all state licensing and certification requirements (if applicable).
  • Must be at least 21 years old.
  • Clean Motor Vehicle Report (MVR) for the past 3 years.
  • Pass post-offer drug test and background check.
  • Successful completion of a road test.
  • Valid DOT Health Card or ability to secure one.
  • Able to lift and utilize equipment for handling product cases weighing 10-90 pounds throughout the shift.
