The opportunity

Reporting to the Global Head of Institutional Marketing, this leadership position will work with cross-functional teams globally to define the marketing strategy for Manulife Investment Management's institutional business.

This is a dual role that spans both the marketing program for Manulife IM’s institutional business in North America and global product initiatives and includes the development and execution of strategic, multi-stakeholder brand and marketing strategies.

Effective communication of vision and leading through people for impact will be critical to delivering results. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of the Canada and U.

S. institutional market and public markets strategies.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, develop and implement comprehensive marketing strategies / initiatives that increase awareness and enhance the MIM brand with institutional clients and prospects.
  • Drive strategic development and execution of marketing initiatives to support the growth of our public markets strategies including fixed income, public equities, and multi-asset solutions along with alternative asset platforms including private equity and credit, real estate, timberland, agriculture, infrastructure.
  • Provide strategic marketing counsel to direct reports and cross-functional partners on a wide range of complex topics and firm-wide initiatives.
  • Work collaboratively with the Public and Private Market CIOs, and the Head of Distribution, North America to support portfolio managers, business development, and investor relations teams through the development of content for sales materials, thought leadership, and investor communications.
  • Partner with global digital, social, editorial, and CX teams, to develop and execute marketing campaigns designed to raise awareness and promote Manulife Investment Management to institutional clients.
  • Lead and mentor team to identify, develop, and implement key strategic client events to support institutional business development.
  • Partner with institutional, retail, and retirement marketing leaders to maximize use of available content across global paid, earned, and owned media.
  • Ensure all materials are developed in a timely and accurate manner, following agreed processes and in line within corporate branding, messaging, governance, and compliance guidelines.
  • Work closely with the analytics team to ensure all activity is tracked, measured, and reported against KPIs. Continuously assess results and adapt approach to ensure continued improvement and effectiveness.
  • Understand and embed the critical metrics that are important into communication activities and campaigns with the ability of regular reporting and inputs to dashboards for senior leadership.

What we are looking for

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Advanced degree or certifications a plus
  • 10+ years of experience in communications in wealth management

Working Arrangement : Hybrid

Salary range is expected to be between : $148,400.00 USD - $275,500.00 USD

The actual salary will vary depending on local market conditions, geography and relevant job-related factors such as knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience, and education / training.
