Sr. Manager, Software Engineering - MLOps & Experimentation at Realtor.com ®

Location : Austin, TX

We have an exciting and unique opportunity for a skilled, highly motivated, and self-driven Senior Manager, Software Engineering to lead our Recommendations software engineering team.

The charter for this team spans Orchestration, Experimentation and Recommendations and is crucial to our overall business strategy, and creating a world class consumer experience that will move home buyers further along their home buying journey.

The Senior Manager is a key technical influencer and contributor through all stages of the software development lifecycle.

You will be able to make an impact, leveraging your highly developed leadership and collaboration abilities to execute on broad cross-organization initiatives, producing industry-leading solutions.

You will be a partner in designing and delivering the best solution for our consumers.

What you'll do :

  • Lead and grow a team of software engineers, measuring their growth and output
  • Take responsibility for the overall planning, execution, and success of your team's results
  • Guide technical projects and provide leadership in engineering best practices
  • Contribute technically to projects, participate in code reviews, invent and streamline processes
  • Work closely with the Product Management team and stakeholders to ensure we're building the best solutions serving the needs of our consumers
  • Present and evangelize solutions to internal teams and stakeholders

What you'll bring :

  • An experienced engineering servant-leader with a team-first leadership style and a well defined leadership philosophy
  • Experience leading engineering teams that deliver highly available, observable, resilient, scalable, and performant systems
  • Experience with Experimentation, MLOps and Orchestration
  • Experience working with AWS or equivalent cloud computing platform
  • Familiar with data collecting, streaming, and processing technologies
  • 10+ years experience or related work experience preferred and 6-10 years leadership experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science / Engineering or related field, Master's degree a plus
