Job Description : The Credentialing Coordinator will be responsible for managing the credentialing process for healthcare providers, ensuring compliance with health plan and agency requirements, and maintaining accurate records.
This role requires familiarity with various credentialing software and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities :
- Compile and maintain current and accurate data for all providers.
- Complete provider payer enrollment applications and monitor progress.
- Maintain copies of current state licenses, DEA certifications, malpractice coverage, and other required credentialing documents.
- Set up and maintain provider information in credentialing databases and systems.
- Track license and certification expirations to ensure timely renewals.
- Ensure practice addresses are current with health plans, agencies, and other entities.
- Audit health plan directories for current and accurate provider information.
- Provide credentialing and privileging verifications.
Qualifications :
- Experience with credentialing, particularly with IL payors (experience with MI, NJ, IN, TX, OH payors is a plus).
- Familiarity with credentialing software such as One App, Pecos, CAQH, Webcrawler, and Impact.
- Experience working with credentialing contracts and health plans.
- Strong attention to detail, tech-savvy, and computer-oriented.
- Positive references speaking to attendance and punctuality.
