Description

The Clinical Instructor (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant) will provide direct patient care in the Emergency Department in collaboration with Emergency Medicine attending physician.

The Clinical Instructor will instruct residents, medical students and Health Sciences Center students in Emergency Medicine practices and protocols.

The selected incumbent should have excellent communication and clinical skills, as well as the ability to work independently.

Qualifications

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS :

Nurse Practitioner : New York State Nurse Practitioner license. MSN or completion of a course for Nurse Practitioner. Certification as a Nurse Practitioner in Acute Care, Adult Health, Family Health, or Emergency Medicine.

One year practicing as a Nurse Practitioner in the emergency department or urgent care.

Physician Assistant : Bachelor's degree (foreign equivalent or higher) and graduation from an accredited school for Physician Assistants.

NYS PA license and NCCPA certification as PA. ACLS. Minimum one year of ED or urgent care experience.
