A-Line Staffing is now hiring Registered Nurse ??? Hospice in Morris / Union / Essex / Somerset counties, NJ.

The Registered Nurse ??? Hospice would be working for a Major Hospital System and has career growth potential.

Registered Nurse ??? Hospice Highlights :

  • ??? Schedule : 7.5-hour shifts; on-call shifts required, including overnights and weekends (1???2 per month)
  • ??? Service area : Morris, Union, Essex, Somerset counties (+ bordering towns)
  • ??? Pay Range : $55-58 Hourly, plus mileage reimbursement
  • ??? Remote EPIC experience strongly preferred
  • ??? Must have hospice travel experience and direct hospice agency experience (not long-term care or private duty)

Registered Nurse ??? Hospice Responsibilities :

  • ??? Perform patient assessments, including appropriateness for hospice care, learning needs, and progress toward goals.
  • ??? Develop individualized plans of care for patients and families, revising as necessary based on patient needs.
  • ??? Ensure appropriate utilization of services, maintaining productivity standards and demonstrating knowledge of insurance reimbursement.
  • ??? Complete admission, discharge, and revisit assessments accurately and in a timely manner.
  • ??? Use age-appropriate teaching methods with patients and families, documenting education provided and tools used.
  • ??? Assume responsibility for case management, prioritizing care needs, and coordinating interdisciplinary communication.
  • ??? Demonstrate knowledge of hospice regulations, pharmacology, and safe medication management; reconcile medications routinely.
  • ??? Provide HHA supervision per standards and communicate progress toward goals with the interdisciplinary team (IDT).
  • ??? Attend and participate in IDT meetings every two weeks, monthly staff meetings, and PI / UR activities as requested.
  • ??? Maintain safe environments for patients and staff, following infection control measures and reporting infections.
  • ??? Provide orientation / mentorship to new employees and cross-train to learn / teach new skills as needed.
  • ??? Assist with growing agency business and demonstrate flexibility for emergency coverage across designated service areas.

    • Registered Nurse ??? Hospice Qualifications :

  • ??? Current New Jersey RN license.
  • ??? Minimum 3 years of hospice care facility experience (not long-term care).
  • ??? Prior direct hospice agency employment required.
  • ??? 2???3 years as an RN in a home hospice environment.
  • ??? Strong medical-surgical skills and understanding of hospice-specific regulations / training.
  • ??? Experience with EMR systems (Remote EPIC experience strongly preferred).
  • ??? Valid New Jersey driver???s license.
  • ??? BLS certification required.
  • ??? Excellent critical thinking, communication, and case management skills.
