Position Summary
Phoenix Childrenâ€s is hiring an OPERATING ROOM NURSE for the EAST VALLEY surgery center. This OR nurse position will support the outpatient surgery center in Mesa.
This neighborhood surgery center focuses on the typical outpatient cases, ears, nose and throat. Itâ€s a fast paced stand alone facility that takes care of kiddos who need to have surgery for ENT issues, minor orthopedic surgery, gyno, as well as some plastic surgery.
Must have a minimum of one year as a circulating nurse. Primary responsibilities will be supporting surgeons in an outpatient clinical setting.
This position is M - F, NO holidays, weekends or call!!
This position, in collaboration with the healthcare team, patient, and family, coordinates and promotes patient health utilizing evidence-based practice in the delivery of professional nursing care across the care continuum.
This position advocates for the patient and family adhering to nursing and medical plans of care, regulatory standards, and organizational values.
Education
- Two year (ADN) degree in nursing, a four year degree (BSN) in nursing, or a Diploma Nursing degree. (Required)
- Bachelorâ€s degree in Nursing or currently enrolled in an RN to BSN program. (Preferred)
Experience
Pediatric experience. (Preferred)
Certifications
- Current State of Arizona RN license or an RN license from a compact state with multistate privileges or the ability to establish licensure according to Arizona law prior to start date. (Required)
- Current BLS certification for Healthcare Provider from the American Heart Association. (Required)
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) or Pediatric Emergency Assessment, Recognition and Stabilization (PEARS) certification may be required within 90 days of entry into the position for select departments. (Preferred)
