Serve as the primary contact for all health and safety matters on-site, working closely with leadership to implement policies and procedures
- Monitor compliance with OSHA, state regulations, and corporate safety standards
- Conduct site inspections, audits, and risk assessments to identify hazards and recommend corrective actions
- Lead incident investigations and develop preventative measures based on root cause analysis
- Collaborate with supervisors and team members to reinforce PPE use and safe work practices
- Coordinate and deliver safety training, including new hire orientation and ongoing development
- Manage workers’ compensation claims and support return-to-work programs
- Maintain accurate safety records, reports, and documentation for internal and regulatory use
- Work with environmental personnel to conduct required testing and support inspections
- Participate in emergency preparedness planning and lead safety committee initiatives
