Ground Missile Defense (GMD) is the heart of the Missile Defense System and a key element of our nation’s defense against ballistic missile attacks.
The GMD Weapon System processes data from multiple sensors to identify and characterize the inbound ballistic missile threat, plans the best defensive solution, and launches the intercepting missiles to negate the threat.
The Work
As a Systems Engineer for the GMD Weapon System (GWS) Sustainment Engineering team, you will work in a collaborative environment resolving reported operational issues at GMD Sites and labs.
You will act as the interface between GWS and the operational sites, providing engineering resolutions and site work instructions, and coordinating long-term solutions to reported issues.
You will be required to analyze data and present status and problem resolutions to the GWS MDA customer.
