Job Description :

Title : Entry-Level Cabling Technician

Location : Goodyear / Phoenix, AZ (with potential temporary travel to Chandler, AZ)

Overview :

We are seeking entry-level Cabling Technicians to work on data centers and commercial buildings in Goodyear and Phoenix.

Candidates must be willing to travel to Chandler temporarily if work slows down in the primary locations. This position offers valuable experience in a data center environment with opportunities for growth.

Top Skills Required :

1. 6 months of labor experience

2. Ability to travel to Goodyear / Phoenix and temporarily to Chandler as needed

Secondary Skills (Nice to Have) :

• OSP (Outside Plant)
• Cat5 cabling
• Structured cabling

Responsibilities :

• Install, troubleshoot, and maintain video and data cables and copper and fiber cabling infrastructure
• Perform maintenance on existing cabling systems
• Test newly installed or relocated cables according to company specifications
• Identify and remove redundant cabling
• Install televisions, routers, and internet technology devices
• Troubleshoot issues with the cable network
• Install cable support structures such as j-hooks, cable racks, and innerduct

Additional Skills & Qualifications :

• Walk job sites in uneven terrain
• Work in extreme climates
• Work at heights and from ladders
• Regularly lift and / or move up to 39 pounds; participate in group lifts for 40 pounds or more
• Bend or twist the body into unusual positions while working
• Push or pull heavy objects into position
• Work in noisy environments
• Previous experience in telecommunications, electrical engineering, or related fields is preferred
• Familiarity with telecommunications equipment
• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
• Strong attention to detail
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to read blueprints
• Must have a clean BG, tools, and reliable transportation

Work Environment :

• Monday through Friday, 4 : 30 AM - 4 : 00 PM
• Some team members may work additional hours
Compensation :
• $20 / hour
• $20 / hour
