Job Details
Currently seeking a Project Engineer to join a General Contractor in the Orange County market, specializing in Life Science, Higher Education, and Commercial Tenant Improvement projects.
You will play a crucial role in the successful execution of construction projects from inception to completion.
Responsibilities :
- Collaborate with project managers to develop comprehensive project plans, schedules, and budgets for Life Science, Higher Education, and Commercial Tenant Improvement projects.
- Conduct thorough project feasibility studies, site assessments, and risk analyses to identify potential challenges and develop effective mitigation strategies.
- Assist in the preparation of project proposals, bids, and contract documents, ensuring compliance with client requirements and industry regulations.
- Coordinate with architects, engineers, subcontractors, and vendors to facilitate the seamless execution of project tasks and deliverables.
- Monitor project progress, track key milestones, and proactively identify and address any deviations from the project plan.
- Conduct regular site inspections and quality control assessments to ensure adherence to project specifications, safety standards, and best practices.
- Prepare and maintain accurate project documentation, including progress reports, change orders, RFIs, and submittals.
- Foster positive relationships with clients, stakeholders, and project team members through effective communication, collaboration, and problem-solving.
- Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in Life Science, Higher Education, and Commercial Tenant Improvement construction.
Qualifications :
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Construction Management preferred, but not required
- 2+ years of experience in project engineering or construction management, with a focus on commercial projects.
- Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Procore, Primavera P6) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Strong understanding of construction principles, building codes, and regulations governing Life Science, Higher Education, and Commercial Tenant Improvement projects.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
