OverviewWe are seeking an occupational therapist to join our dynamic rehab team at M Health Fairview St John's Hospital in Maplewood! This position will be part of our inpatient adult acute care team - occupational yherapists are part of an integrated team, and work with a wide range of diagnoses and conditions.

In collaboration with patients and families, the OT is responsible for providing safe and effective delivery of patient care within scope of practice.

This includes examination, evaluation, diagnosis, planning, intervention and establishing outcomes. We are an outstanding multi-disciplinary team of therapists, nurses, physicians, care coordinators working together for patient outcomes!FTE 1.

0, authorized for 80 hours per pay period.Schedule : Wednesday, Thursday, Friday : 7 : 00am - 4 : 30pm and every other weekend 7 : 00am - 4 : 30pm.

Consisting of Physical, Occupational and Speech Therapy as well as Audiology and Cardiac & Pulmonary Rehab, our therapists collaborate with colleagues in all medical settings and offer dozens of specialty programs.

Responsibilities Job DescriptionThe Occupational Therapist partners with the patient and their care providers while performing evaluation and re-evaluation.

Captures and applies pertinent data, performs examination, and resolves treatment diagnosisDevelops an individualized plan of care through coordinationAnalyzes data to identify needs and potential risks, settles prognosis for recovery, and establishes individualized goalsImplements and modifies care plan based on reassessment and patient responseCoordinates care and communicates effectively with interdisciplinary team for all aspects care & establishes appropriate discharge planPartners with care team to provide skilled interventionImplements and alters treatment to reflect change in patient status and response to treatmentAssesses patient and / or caregiver learning needs and provides appropriate educationDocumentation / BillingUses acceptable medical terminology and follows professional practice standards.

Completes documentation in a timely manner per department standardsStays in sync with department billing standardsProfessional ExpectationsPrioritizes tasks and patient care for effective time management.
