We currently have a client in SANTA ROSA , CA looking for an Operating Room RN(OR RN) !
Focus Staff is seeking a traveling OR RN to work as an Operating room nurse (or perioperative nurse) to assist surgeons during operations and keep the operating room sterile at all times.
Contract Assignment - 13 Weeks (Temporary / Travel / Contract)
Shift : 5x8 Evenings

Candidates need to possess phenomenal efficiency and attention to detail with a strong knowledge of operating procedures and patient safety.
Being Compassionate and sensitive is a prerequisite for the profession. The ideal Candidates goes a step further by being a critical thinker and fast to act with emergencies.
Requirements :
- Proven experience as operating room nurse (circulating and scrub)
- Excellent knowledge of aseptic and sterile techniques
- Solid understanding of patient safety and precautions
- In-depth knowledge of surgical operation procedures
- AHA Current Basic Life Support certification for Health Care Providers.

Responsibilities :
- Assess patients prior to surgery (e.g. NPO status) and alleviate their concerns
- Monitor patient’s vital signs to detect anomalies
- Assume duties within or out of the sterile field as assigned
- Evaluate patient in postoperative phases
- Pass medical instruments or other objects to the surgeon during operation
Work Experience : At least 2 years of OR experience
