In this position you will work with children from birth to age 18 to complete assessments, and development and implement treatment plans.
Our Speech Language Pathologists (SLP) function as part of a transdisciplinary team of therapists working with local on-site supervisors and management.

Come see why we love what we do! Pay : Based on experience Job Type : Full-Time or Part-Time Primary responsibilities include : Effectively carry a caseload with children ages birth to 18.
Conduct initial and ongoing assessments, deliver speech and language services, and write treatment plans based on the results of assessments that effectively target short- and long-term goals.
Create necessary materials to support a variety of communication needs. Apply interventions to maximize performance in all areas of need.
Work collaboratively with the families served including educating parents on helpful therapy approaches and in-home strategies to facilitate generalization of skills.
Maintain professional documentation including progress reports and session notes. Collaborate with medical professionals, colleagues, and families on the development and implementation of communication tools and strategies, and individualizing functional communication for each patient.
Collaborate with a team of other Lifelong Access professionals, including Developmental Therapists, Social / Emotional therapists, Physical and Occupational Therapists, Board Certified Behavior Analysts, and Registered Behavior Technicians.
Qualifications for this position include : Master’s degree in Speech Language Pathology Active Illinois Speech Language Pathology License Minimum 1-2 years of related experience Excellent knowledge of principles and practices of speech therapy Familiarity with developmental milestones for speech and language Current knowledge of treatment practices per discipline and a desire to learn and grow in the profession Knowledge of autism spectrum disorder, Applied Behavior Analysis, sensory and behavioral strategies and principles Excellent written and verbal communication skills Preferred knowledge or experience in feeding therapy Preferred knowledge in Augmentative Communication Devices, PECs, and other communication strategies specific to the autism spectrum Preferred credential in Early Intervention Valid Illinois driver’s license with safe driving record, with proof of automobile insurance Must be able to successfully pass criminal, DCFS, safe driving background check, TB test and drug screen Physical Requirements : The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform essential functions of this job.
