Position : Mechanic (Rigging Equipment Specialist)

Job Location : Hahnville, LA

Hutco Branch : Harvey, LA

Rate of Pay : $25.00 to $30.00 per hour based on Experience (time and a half for overtime after 40 hours)

NO TWIC card required. NO per diem available. Long-term work.

Are you a skilled mechanic with hands-on experience repairing chain falls, chain blocks, safety latches, hoists, and other rigging equipment ? We want to hear from you!

We are currently seeking a dependable and detail-oriented Mechanic who can inspect, troubleshoot, and repair a variety of mechanical lifting devices to ensure they meet safety and operational standards.

Responsibilities include :

  • Repairing and servicing chain falls, chain blocks, and hoists
  • Inspecting and replacing worn parts such as safety latches, hooks, and load chains
  • Performing load testing and function checks
  • Maintaining accurate repair logs and safety documentation

    • Requirements :

  • Proven mechanical repair experience (preferably in rigging or industrial equipment)
  • Knowledge of rigging safety standards and equipment function
  • Ability to work independently and efficiently
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
