A PM is needed to address and coordinate the replacement ofthe existing criminal history systems utilized by the VirginiaState Police.

The Project Manager will work with Business ystsprogram manager and serve as the liaison between the businesscommunity / end users and the IT organization.

The project manager isresponsible for managing the project scope schedule and budget andreporting to VSP IT management and the business stakeholders / ownerson a weekly basis or as agreed upon.

The successful candidate musthave the following qualifications :

• Active Project ManagementInstitute (PMI) Project Management Professional (PMP)certificationREQUIRED
• Doented highrisk project management experience Completion of a Category 1 or 2 Commonwealth project of $5M ormore OR completion of nonCOV project with a value greater than $10Mas PM of record.

Duties may include managing / coordinating aRequest for Proposal (RFP) process composed of RFP related taskssuch the review and istance with drafting of the evaluationcriteria contract terms RFP format and other procurementrelateddoentation in coordination with the VSP procurement staff.

Theproject manager will ist the VSP IT Division staff in responding tovendor queries performing the vendor evaluation process andcontract negotiations as necessary.

The PM will direct the Businessyst throughout the project to ensure the objectives andrequirements for a new system are fully defined.

The PM willoversee the vendor efforts on the design development andimplementation of the solution and will coordinate with the vendorPM and VSP IT Division and business stakeholders / owners as needed.

The Project Manager in coordination with the Business yst will beresponsible for the identification ysis tracking and recommendingappropriate actions to project issues including those that aretechnology related.

They will also be responsible for theidentification and management of project risks. The PM coordinatingwith the VSP IT Division will provide overall direction to thevendor as to any interfaces to existing VSP (and nonAgency)systems.

In general the PM is responsible for the coordination andcompletion of the igned projects that will result in the designdelivery and implementation of a new VSP criminal history system.
