Position
The Human Resource Generalist is responsible for managing the daily functions of the Human Resource department, including overseeing, administering, and coordinating employment, employee relations, benefits, complaints, and problem resolution.
HR Generalist will :
- Provide assistance and counsel to management on employee relations issues.
- Administer, coordinate, and track approved LOAs, L&I, light duty, and Worker’s Compensation programs.
- Assist in managing employee records and employment documents, including but not limited to onboarding, benefits, and termination documents.
Preferred Qualifications :
- Thorough knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations.
- Demonstrated knowledge of basic principles and practices of human resources.
- Previous employee relations experience, including but not limited to assisting management with the administration of progressive disciplinary policies and investigating and responding to employee concerns.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of people in a diverse workforce.
- Capable of working and interacting with all employee levels, both internal and external business partners.
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines, prioritize tasks, and delegate them when appropriate.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to act with integrity and professionalism and uphold the company's ethical standards.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong time management skills, with the ability to work with minimum supervision.

Education :
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field.
Associate's degree (AA) plus two years of exempt-level experience may be used in lieu of the above requirement.
Preferred Experience :
- Three to five years of prior HR experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Prior work experience in the manufacturing or distribution industry is preferred.
- Expert user of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organization's HRIS and talent management systems.
- Prior experience with a Payroll or HRIS database is preferred.
Additional Eligibility Qualifications Certificates, Licenses, or Registrations :
PHR or SHRM certification preferred.
