The Private Equity (PE) Business Management Associate would have responsibility for assisting all operational and reporting needs related to the Private Equity Portfolio which includes coordinating deliverables and liaising with Enterprise Risk Management, Operational Risk Management, Audit, SOX, IT, Accounting and any other stakeholder or oversight body.
This person will report to the lead ops person while still working within a flat organization structure and provide support to all private equity team members.
RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Help coordinate all operational needs and data management for the PE team
- Help maintain and reconcile with our outside vendor reports to track and monitor prospective and existing investments, including performance attribution
- Provide support for various portfolio operational matters, including coordinating with the middle office, back office, audit etc regarding various periodic reporting requirements and other deliverables
- Conduct special projects (e.g. office technology initiatives)
- Conduct required governance work
- Process closed new deals and verify accuracy within the various systems
- Create presentations
- Other related duties
REQUIREMENTS :
- 2+ years of relevant work experience required
- Fundamental understanding of Private Equity operations
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills
- Ability to analyze, manipulate and report on large sets of data
- Base-level understanding of business, legal, and accounting issues related to Private Equity
- Superior written and verbal communication skills and fluency with Excel, Power Point and other essential computer programs
- Attention to detail, highly organized and ability to juggle multiple tasks, respond to changing priorities, and meet deadlines
- High ethical and professional standards
