CMM Programmer

Shift : 1st shift

Salary : $28–$32 per hour, depending on experience

Located in Mentor, OH, we specialize in short-run production, which allows our team to work on a wide variety of interesting parts, ranging from commercial airframes to rocket propulsion units.

CMM Programmer Role :

The CMM Programmer is responsible for developing, creating, and maintaining Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) inspection programs to ensure manufactured products meet strict quality standards. This critical role exists to ensure the dimensional accuracy and compliance of all components before they proceed through the production process.

CMM Programmer Responsibilities :

Develop and write CMM programs using PC-DMIS software to inspect complex parts and assemblies

• Program and operate Nikon CMM equipment, ensuring accurate and repeatable measurements
• Interpret and apply Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) from engineering drawings and specifications
• Conduct First Article Inspections (FAIRs) and in-process checks using the CMM
• Analyze measurement data and generate detailed inspection reports for quality and engineering teams
• Select, set up, and maintain probes and fixturing solutions for inspection routines
• Troubleshoot and optimize existing CMM programs to improve efficiency and accuracy
• Maintain accurate documentation and records of CMM programs and inspection results

CMM Programmer Reporting Relationships :

The candidate will report to the Quality Manager or Director of Quality Operations and will not have any direct reports.
