Job Title : Registered Nurse (RN)Job Specialty : Procedural Recovery - Cardiac Cath LabJob Duration : 12 monthsShift : Day Shift, 5x8 HourGuaranteed Hours : 40 hours per weekExperience : Minimum 1 year of experience requiredLicense : Current RN License issued by the state nursing board or a current multistate compact RN License (eNLC)Certifications : - Current Basic Life Support issued by the American Heart Association- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) issued by the American Heart AssociationMust-Have : - Experience or ability to function independently in a specialty area prior to assignment- Knowledge of professional nursing theory, practices, techniques, and procedures- Good verbal and written communication skills- Computer skills- Ability to work effectively as part of a teamJob Description : - Provide nursing care in specialty areas- Assume responsibility for an assigned group of patients- Document patient responses to nursing interventions and prescribed medical treatments- Note changes in physician orders on assigned patients- Assist physicians in examining patients and performing minor diagnostic procedures and treatments- Obtain and monitor physiological data of patients and intervene when necessary- Administer prescribed medication- Initiate, regulate, and monitor intravenous infusions and blood products- Deliver competent patient care- Interact with family and patient to share care plan during hospital stay and upon discharge- Oversee treatment provided by technicians or other service providers- Inform patients and families of hospital procedures- Make referrals regarding patient care needs to appropriate personnel- Delegate tasks to support staff- Perform other duties as assigned
