Job Title : Legal Assistant
Location : Denver, CO (Hybrid 3 days onsite, with a 4th day every other week)
Client : International law firm
Compensation : Up to $95K annual base salary plus discretionary bonus and benefits
About the Company
This person will be required to be in the office 70% of the time (3 days per week Tuesday through Thursday, plus a 4th day every other week).
Scope of Role / Responsibilities
- Maintain organized paper and electronic files; design and implement organizational systems where appropriate
- Coordinate and modify complex travel arrangements (including international) as directed
- Prepare expense reports
- Photocopy and scan materials as needed
- Prepare all materials related to the firm’s billing process in an efficient, timely manner
- Maintain calendars, schedule meetings, book conference rooms and make reservations as needed
- Handle incoming and outgoing telephone calls in a professional manner and communicate messages accurately and in a timely manner
- Maintain contact management system and manage contact communication processes as needed
- Complete daily diaries for timekeepers accurately and on time
- Type, prepare, revise and process legal documents, correspondence, memoranda, presentations, and occasional court documents using standard Microsoft Office products
- Proofread work products to ensure they are complete and accurate
- Become familiar and stay up to date with firm policies, legal procedures, matters, and clients relevant to assigned practice area(s)
Qualifications
- Targeting 8+ years of experience in a legal administrative assistant position in a law firm environment
- Prior experience in litigation is required
- Prior experience supporting general counsel would be highly desirable.
- Willing to commit 2+ years to the position (NOT open to candidates planning to go to law school in the future)
- Seeking a career legal admin assistant with strong tenures (candidates that have had a high degree of transiency (i.e. changing jobs every two years) must provide ample context for their career narrative and what motivated / circumstances around their job changes)
- Excellent tech-savvy well beyond baseline proficiency in Microsoft Word (advanced skillset in Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and a proven ability to quickly get up to speed with new technology with little support
