Job Responsibilities :
- Serve as a liaison to the Director of Quality Control, assisting the audit team in various areas where QC reviews are not performed.
- Perform quality control reviews for our audit and review practices across various industries, including broker-dealers, not-for-profit, SEC filers, manufacturers, real estate, and hedge funds.
- Assist with the peer review process and manage any PCAOB inspections.
- Help update and maintain our quality control manual, ensuring compliance with PCAOB, SEC, and other regulatory requirements.
- Oversee the firm’s annual independence process.
- Monitor continuing professional education (CPE) compliance for the entire firm.
- Contribute to the development and facilitation of training programs for staff (CPE).
- Support the annual registration process with the AICPA, PCAOB, NJCPA, and other state registrations / renewals as needed.
- Provide guidance and oversight on quality control policies and procedures for engagements not directly reviewed.
Must have :
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, or a related business field.
- Active CPA license.
- Minimum of 8 years of public accounting experience.
- Previous experience in quality control.
- Strong knowledge of GAAP, GAAS, PCAOB and quality control standards.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with partners and senior management.
- Strong organizational skills with a high attention to detail.
- Demonstrated decision-making, project management, and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, work independently, and as part of a team.
- Creative thinker with a solution-oriented mindset.
