About The Position
Job Title : Physical Therapist Job Specialty : Outpatient Rehabilitation Job Duration : Permanent Shift : 7 : 00 AM - 5 : 00 PM Guaranteed Hours : Not specified Experience : Affiliation or employment experience in a physical disability setting preferred License : Must be currently licensed and in good standing in the state of practice or be license eligible with a temporary letter to practice granted Certifications : BLS Certification required Must-Have : - Adherence to non-compete policies regarding recent employees and direct applicants Job Description : Evaluate, plan, direct, and administer physical therapy modalities of treatment as prescribed by a licensed physician.
- Administer treatments and physical agents to restore function and prevent disability following injury, disease, or physical disability.
- Assist patients in reaching their maximum performance and level of functioning while learning to live within the limits of their capabilities.
- Coordinate, delegate, and supervise responsibilities assigned to supportive staff, including Aides, PTAs, and students.
- Participate in operational aspects of the department and maintain performance improvement activities.- Ensure that patient charges are accurate and entered on a timely basis.
- Participate in all infection control, departmental equipment training, organizational safety, and fire safety programs.
- Care for or interact with diverse patient age groups, including infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatric.
- Occasional Saturday shifts as needed.
