Role Overview The primary duties of the Accounting Assistant include properly recording transactions by posting receipts, resolving discrepancies, assisting customers with setting up new accounts and scheduling service.
In addition, the Customer Service Representative will also assist with clerical functions that include filing, copying, and scanning and some accounts payable duties. What you will do
- Answer incoming calls from customers
- Perform day to day financial transactions which include verifying, computing, posting, and recording accounts receivable data
- Reconcile the accounts receivable ledger to ensure that all payments are accounted for and properly posted
- Prepare bills, invoices, and bank deposits
- Maintain AR / AP files and records
- Update all daily deposit logs regularly and timely
- Ensure compliance with GAAP principles
- Process AP Invoices
- Resolve customer issues Candidate Profile Skills & Qualifications
- Minimum of 1-3 years professional years of experience working in a similar role
- Proven experience as a Customer Service Representative
- Solid understanding of basic accounting principles, regulatory standards, and compliance requirements
- Proven ability to calculate, post, and manage accounting figures
- Works equally well in a team and as an individual contributor
- Accuracy and attention to detail
- Excellent communication, problem solving, and time management skills
- Good work ethic
