Job Description :
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our team for the full 2024-2025 school year.
This position is based in the beautiful Santa Clarita area and offers a fulfilling opportunity to work with a diverse caseload of students from preschool through 6th grade.
As an SLP in our school district, you will play a crucial role in helping students develop their communication skills and succeed academically and socially.
Key Responsibilities :
- Conduct assessments and screenings to identify students with speech and language needs.
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students requiring speech and language services.
- Provide direct therapy services to students, both individually and in group settings.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other school staff to support students' communication needs.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student progress and services provided.
- Participate in IEP meetings and provide professional insights to support students' educational goals.
Qualifications :
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
- Current state licensure or the ability to obtain licensure in California.
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA preferred.
- Previous experience in a school setting is a plus, but not required.
- Strong communication, organizational, and collaborative skills.
