Located in the West Village, Barbuto is a bustling restaurant serving California-inspired Italian dishes to a neighborhood clientele as well as visitors from around the world.
Opened in 2004 by Chef Jonathan Waxman, the easy going atmosphere and technical approach to cooking have made Barbuto a staple of the New York restaurant scene.
Responsibilities include :
- Ideally looking for a candidate with experience cooking pasta!
- Food preparation : Washing, trimming, cutting, portioning, measuring, mixing, and panning ingredients
- Cooking : Baking, broiling, frying, steaming, braising, boiling, and pressure cooking
- Plating : Creating finished products that are tasty, attractive, and properly cooked
- Cleaning : Keeping food preparation equipment clean, including grills, broilers, ovens, steamer tables, mixers, microwave ovens, and toasters
- Safety : Following facility safety programs and conducting work tasks safely
- Customer service : Responding to customer orders and providing courteous service to guests, coworkers, and residents
