Job Description
As a Welder 3, you will primarily focus on GTAW welding of rocket components and assemblies. Your role also includes occasional support in welding tooling and test equipment.
You will perform orbital welding, resistance spot welding, and ensure that setups are done according to written instructions.
Your responsibilities extend to performing visual inspections on welds to ensure compliance with internal and customer specifications, including some limited dimensional inspections.
Preferred Skills
- GTAW welding
- Orbital welding
- Resistance spot welding
- Reading and following detailed manufacturing instructions, weld schedules, and specifications
- Experience with stainless steel, titanium, Inconel, and steel
- Visual inspection of welds

This is a permanent position.
Work Environment
You will join a team of 2 other welders at our site in Redmond, WA, near the Seattle area. Here, we fabricate, assemble, and test chemical and electric thrusters, as well as small scale propulsion systems.
Our electric propulsion systems enable a wide variety of missions, from the exploration of our solar system to global communication and the surveillance of severe weather and wildfires.
