We are seeking an experienced and quality-driven automotive technician to fill an open position in our car dealership’s service department. Our ideal candidate will be confident running diagnostic equipment to identify and complete automotive repairs to electrical and software systems.

Compensation : $25 - $28 hourly

Responsibilities :

  • Conduct routine maintenance, as needed, such as fluid level checks, tire rotations, brake pad replacement, or oil changes
  • Apply a checklist-based approach to ensure a comprehensive examination of all vehicle systems, including the engine, air conditioning, transmission, and brake systems
  • Explain automotive systems issues to customers to ensure a clear, transparent repair process
  • Create protocols for tracking diagnostic tests and repairs, acquiring necessary technical manuals, and more throughout our dealerships
  • Follow all manufacturer specifications for vehicle system repairs to ensure optimum customer satisfaction and facilitate returning business
  • Perform body repairs, including dent removal, panel replacement, sanding, and refinishing
  • Use industry-standard tools and equipment to complete repairs to OEM standards
  • Work closely with estimators and other technicians to ensure the timely completion of repairs
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment, following OSHA and company safety policies
  • Document work performed and communicate clearly with management as needed
  • Stay up to date on repair techniques, tools, and best practices in the industry

Qualifications :

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in collision repair or autobody work
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
  • Ability to lift up to 60 pounds and operate required hand / power tools
  • Must have own basic tool set (specialty tools provided)
  • I-CAR or ASE certifications are a plus, but not required
  • Excellent attention to detail and pride in workmanship
  • Reliable and punctual, with a strong work ethic and communication skills
