A facility is seeking a Hematologist / Oncologist for locum tenens coverage.
The facility is located in Red Bluff, California.
The position is for an outpatient clinic with hours Monday through Thursday, 7 : 00 AM - 5 : 30 PM, followed by night call and 24-hour remote call coverage Friday through Sunday.
The average daily census is 15-21 patients, with 3 / 4 of appointments on the MD schedule and 1-2 new patients per day. The role involves overseeing all aspects of diagnosis, staging, precision medicine, symptom management, and treatment for hematology / oncology patients.
The MD will also oversee the Oncology / Hematology clinic and Infusion Services, which require the MD onsite for all treatments, including chemotherapy, immunotherapy, blood / platelet transfusions, hormone therapy, antibiotic therapy, rheumatoid arthritis injections, and therapeutic phlebotomies.
