Registered Nurse, Transplant Unit, FT Nights
Description :
Piedmont Atlantas TransplantUnit is a 24 bed, step down / acute care floor primarily focusing onkidney, liver, and pancreas transplants.
We are a heavily focusedpost-surgical floor specializing in incisional care, drainmanagement, ambulation, intensive medication administration, andpost-transplant education.
Our patient ratio is typically a 1 : 4nurse to patient ratio, maxing out at1 : 5.
RESPONSIBLE FOR :
The staff nurse provides nursing care topatients from birth through the lifecycle utilizing nursingprocesses to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate the care forpatients.
He / she functions within the framework of the policies andprocedures of the organization and demonstrates professional growthand accountability.
The staff nurse is responsible for maintainingstandards of practice, coordinating patient care activities of allassigned staff in the provision of quality nursingcare.
Qualifications :
MINIMUMEDUCATION REQUIRED :
Graduate of a nursingprogram
MINIMUM EXPERIENCEREQUIRED :
New Graduates of a nursing programeligible
MINIMUMLICENSURE / CERTIFICATION REQUIRED BY LAW :
CurrentLicense in the State of Georgia as a Registered Nurse or NLC / eNLCMultistate License. BLS certification required.
ADDITIONALQUALIFICATIONS :
Advanced certification in fieldof specialty, if applicable. Bachelor's degree preferred. NursingExperience in Hospital Setting Preferred.
