Job SummaryAs a highly-skilled and compassionate Cath-Lab Nurse you will provide assistance with all invasive cardiac, vascular and interventional procedures.

You will be part of a team that pulls together to provide a quality patient care experience. We are seeking passionate individuals who are ready to take their career to the next level! In this will be responsible for all testing and therapeutics that takes place in the Cath lab.
These procedures include but are not limited to : cardiac catheterizations and / or coronary interventions, EP device and ablation therapies, interventional radiology, neuro diagnostic / interventions, endovascular procedures, and structural Heart (LAAC, TAVR) procedures.
You will facilitate effective communication among departmental staff to ensure interdisciplinary and collaborative approach to patient care.
Uses appropriate SBAR process for hand-off communication.You will assist the patient through all aspects of the procedure, including transport, site preparation, sterile procedure, patient monitoring, and hemostasis following removal of catheter or sheath, and return to room.
Manages emergent cases.You will maintain accurate, timely and compliant patient records. Completes all paperwork associated with these procedures and prepares tests for physician interpretation.

QualificationsCurrent nursing license in good standingAssociate s Degree in nursing required, bachelor s preferredTwo to three years of Cath Lab experience.
Emergency Room / ICU experience preferred.American Red Cross or American Heart Association Basic Life Support Course (BLS or BCLS) and CertificationAmerican Red Cross or American Heart Association Advanced Cardiac Life Support Certified (ACLS) Shift times : 7a 7 : 30p (12 hr shifts) Must have experience RN and AK lic required3yr exp Cath or 5 yrs exp in high acuity setting (eg.
ICU,Exp Circulating, Monitoring and Sedation medication (exp mixing sedation drips)No mapping exp needed (performed by 3rd party company) Unit Beds / rooms : 3 rooms, average 4-6 procedures per dayDescription for Job have basic knowledge of the job of a Cath lab nurse as in preparing patients for catheterization, angioplasty and pacemaker implantations.
Must assist physician in the catheterization, angioplasty and pacemaker implantations processes.Must keep patient calm and relaxed during procedure where they re required to be awake.
As a senior Cath lab nurse, must administer appropriate medicine when needed.Must be able perform proper after procedure care.
Must check vital signs of the patient with proper care.Provide education about medications and care to the patients and families before the discharge.
