This role is in the Standards, Infrastructure and Data Management group of Clinical Informatics (CI) at the Regeneron Genetics Center (RGC).
The CI team consists of experts in healthcare, clinical data management and analysis, who specialize in data curation, phenotyping, machine learning and artificial intelligence techniques for generating research insights.
A TYPICAL DAY MAY INCLUDE :
Provide strategic leadership for effective management and distribution of clinical informatics data.
The role entails implementing data- related infrastructure and tools, focusing on data quality, standardization, analysis, phenotype development, and governance.
Play a crucial role in managing the full lifecycle of clinical informatics data including its ingestion, tracking, transformation into usable phenotype data, and its eventual analysis.
Development of tools and pipelines for data tracking, ingestion, and visualization and will serve as a strategic liaison between the CI team and other therapeutic area genetics teams within the RGC.
THIS ROLE MAY BE FOR YOU IF YOU HAVE :
Working with the team lead, drive the strategic direction for CI’s data management, focusing on infrastructure, technology, processes, automation, standards, data lifecycle, delivery, analytics, visualization tools, and seamless integration into existing systems, ensuring data quality and accuracy.
Act as a proactive intermediary between RGC’s clinical data users and technical teams, ensuring clear communication of data access requirements, and overseeing development progress.
Serve as a champion for the management, governance, and quality of data. Serve as the primary contact for the RGC regarding the status of CI’s data deliverables.
Lead the creation and ongoing refinement of CI’s standard operating procedures.
Serve as the primary contact for data governance activities within the clinical informatics team. Innovate in data quality assurance, standardization, centralization, phenotype development and analysis, and workflow optimization, identifying opportunities for process improvement, automation, and innovation in health data management.
In order to be considered for this role, we are looking for :
A minimum of 8-10 years of experience in biopharma, healthcare, life sciences, or a related field. At least 5-7 years of experience in managing and implementing data management and informatics solutions.
A solid foundation in clinical informatics. An NLM-sponsored fellowship or an accredited master's degree or certification in informatics Is preferred.
Expertise in EHR data, data standardization, common data models, and product development, along with a deep understanding of clinical data standards and biomedical ontologies.
Experience working with relational databases and cloud services such as AWS, Azure, GCP, etc. is highly preferred. Skilled in modern data technologies and programming languages, including cloud platforms and Python.
