About The Position
Job Title : Physical Therapist - Pediatric Outpatient Rehabilitation Job Specialty : Therapeutic Treatment Job Duration : 13 Weeks Shift : Day Shift (Monday-Friday, 8 AM Start) Guaranteed Hours : Not specified Experience : 2 years of Pediatric experience License : Physical Therapy License Certifications : Basic Life Support (BLS) Must-Have : - Georgia Physical Therapy License - Blue / Teal Scrubs required Job Description : - Assess, plan, organize, and participate in rehabilitative programs to improve mobility, relieve pain, increase strength, and decrease or prevent deformities.
- Implement and adjust the physical therapy treatment plan with patient / family input. - Provide ongoing patient / family education and training and offer discharge instructions with referrals as appropriate.
- Act as a resource for staff, families, and physicians about rehabilitation services and equipment.- Collaborate with physicians to establish and evaluate treatment programs, plan of care, goals, and discharge plans.
- Document evaluations, treatment sessions, and any educational or discharge-related activities according to guidelines.- Maintain ethical standards, confidentiality, and punctuality.
- Engage effectively in verbal and written communication with team members.- Participate in staff meetings and professional development activities.
- Use materials and equipment safely and cost-effectively. - Foster a positive environment for coworkers and patients and encourage teamwork.
- Participate in professional development, and complete mandatory education and competencies.Applications for this position should consider the requirements outlined and focus on pediatric therapeutic services.
