Position Highlights :

Job Title : Medical Assistant

Location : Eugene OR

Start Date : ASAP

Schedule : 3 DAYS / WEEK

HOURS : 8 : 30AM-4 : 30PM

Job Type : Locum

Pay : $19 - $23 / hr

Experience Needed : 03 - 04 Years

Knowledge :

1. Computers, EHR systems, and office procedures.

2. Medical terminology and coding (ICD-10, CPT).

3. CDC adult immunization schedule.

4. HIPAA, OSHA, and Blood Borne Pathogen regulations.

Key Responsibilities :

Prepare patients for examination and treatment :

Escort patients to exam rooms

Interview patients and record medical history

Measure and document vital signs (pulse, temperature, blood pressure, weight, height)

Recordkeeping & Documentation :

Update patient charts with examination, treatment, and test results

Maintain smooth communication with providers to ensure efficient scheduling

Laboratory & Clinical Support :

Verify provider lab orders

Collect blood, tissue, or other lab specimens

Prepare specimens for outside labs and handle data entry for tracking

Patient Support & Counseling :

Communicate provider's orders to patients

Answer patient questions within provider-defined guidelines

Counsel patients on treatments and procedures

Assist with referrals, prior authorizations, and prescriptions

Inform patients about costs of care and direct them to resources

Office & Administrative Duties :

Prepare and clean treatment / exam rooms

Maintain safe, secure, and compliant work environment

Perform front office tasks (scheduling, answering phones, faxing, patient check-out)
