About The Position
Job Title : Echo Tech / Cardiac Sonographer Job Specialty : Registered Vascular Technologist / Echo Technologist Job Duration : 8-12 week contract Shift : Day 5x8-Hour (08 : 00 - 17 : 00), rotating weekends every 5th weekend Guaranteed Hours : Not specified Experience : Not specified License : Required : ARDMS (American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonographers) or CCI (Cardiovascular Credentialing International) Registered in Vascular Technology within 7 months of hire date Certifications : Required : Basic Life Support.
Preferred : ARDMS or CCI Registered in Echocardiography Must-Have : Vascular registry is required, echo registry is preferred Job Description : Perform all cardiac and vascular exams- Provide clerical relief as needed- Perform echocardiograms, including TEE & intraoperative studies- Perform vascular studies;
however, registry-eligible technologists may not perform these independently without supervision- Conduct stress echocardiograms, TCDs, and TCOMs as applicable- Perform EKGs, stress tests, holter monitoring, and ambulatory blood pressure monitoring- Cover call duties as needed, with restrictions based on registry eligibility for vascular studies- Assist with clerical and reception duties- Complete all associated documentation- Maintain continuing education- Keep all areas stocked and tidy and participate in equipment cleaning- Assume the responsibilities of the Cardiovascular Technologist Supervisor in their absence- Adhere to organization-wide policies and procedures- Comply with the hospital's Service Excellence Behavioral Expectations and Ethics, Compliance, and Confidentiality Program guidelines- Perform within professional scope of practice at all times- Other duties as assigned Educational Requirements : Graduate of Associate Degree patient care related program (unless registries were obtained prior to 2005) Vaccine Requirements : COVID-19 Vaccine : Required, with medical / religious exemptions and declinations allowed- Flu Vaccine : Required, with medical / religious exemptions and declinations allowed
