Summary Description of Position
Guides and directs the overall Human Resources services for an assigned geographic area including employee engagement, various HR programs, policies, special requests and projects.
Proactively fosters an environment of trust and understanding with employees and their managers to achieve a vision of consistent customer service and employee experience that values career development and personal growth.
Collaborates with other Human Resources functions to achieve excellence with respect to employee recruiting, onboarding, retention and succession planning.
Manages both tactical and strategic objectives to provide an employee-oriented, high-performance culture with an emphasis on personal development, productivity, standards, and goal-oriented results.
In conjunction with other Human Resources professionals, utilize creative solutions to enhance the employment experience through effective coaching, mentoring, training, and developmental opportunities.
Ensures accurate and timely employee record documentation for all employment activities.
Essential Functions
Partners with business leaders in area of responsibility to effectively support business initiatives and objectives and drive employee engagement.
Develops and implements short- and long-term HR strategies, policies and programs that align with the company and area objectives and ensures a positive and productive work environment.
Assesses opportunities to improve the performance of individuals and departments. Provides guidance to managers on employee performance issues, coaching and development plans.
Directs and coordinates the efforts of HR staff to ensure that all human resource task functions are efficiently accomplished to facilitate the accurate status of all employee activities with required timely recordkeeping in respective systems and files.
Lead and mentor the HR team, providing guidance, support, and professional development opportunities. Sets clear expectations and holds self and others accountable, holds self to high standards, achieves results.
Completes timely and meaningful quarterly performance dialogues.
Collaborates with hiring managers to proactively identify staffing needs and workforce planning.
Actively engages in and effectively supports the recruiting and onboarding process.
Responsible for the development of staff to meet current demands and prepare them for future challenges through effective goal setting, planning and coaching.
Fosters a positive and inclusive work environment by addressing employee relations issues and resolves conflicts timely and effectively.
Conducts timely and thorough investigations, as needed. Properly documents these investigations in Ethics Point.
Monitors compliance with regulatory agencies policies that guide process and controls along with those that require governance of outcomes such as Affirmative Action Plans, Immigration Control requirements, EEOC and Labor Laws, etc.
Uses data-driven insights to optimize HR processes and address workforce challenges.
Ensure compliance with SOX controls and the consistent application of respective policies and procedural standards.
Other duties as assigned.
Other Requirements
50% travel required. May require overnight travel.
Qualifications
Education, Experience, Skills Required
Education :
A Bachelor's degree is required. Human Resources professional certification (PHR, SPHR, etc.) is preferred.
Experience :
A minimum five years of industry or manufacturing experience preferred. Experience with various HR support systems such as HRIS, Timekeeping and Payroll, Recruiting, etc.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities :
Bi-lingual preferred
Knowledge and understanding of employment laws and application of the same.
Proven leadership, problem resolution, negotiation and interpersonal skills
Skilled at process improvements Ability to work in a team environment
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Internal investigation knowledge and skills.
Excellent presentation skills Intermediate computer skills
Project management and team building skills
General knowledge of EEO, FLSA, OSHA, MSHA, and AA / OFCCP laws and regulations is necessary
Intelligent, resourceful, and willing to exercise initiative
