Job Description :

We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Title Officer to join our team remotely while supporting operations in Flagstaff, AZ. In this role, you will play a critical part in reviewing, analyzing, and processing title documents to ensure seamless property transactions. The ideal candidate will have a thorough understanding of title underwriting and escrow processes, as well as excellent communication and organizational skills.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Review title orders, commitments, and policies to identify and resolve title issues or discrepancies.
  • Perform title searches and examinations, ensuring accuracy and compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
  • Communicate with escrow officers, clients, real estate agents, and lenders to address questions and provide solutions to title-related concerns.
  • Prepare and issue title commitments and title insurance policies in a timely manner.
  • Research and resolve title defects, such as liens, judgments, and encumbrances, to clear titles for closing.
  • Maintain accurate records of title documents and correspondence in the companys systems.
  • Stay current with industry standards, regulations, and best practices to ensure compliance and efficiency.
  • Collaborate with team members to support a high volume of transactions and meet client expectations.

Qualifications :

  • High school diploma or equivalent (Bachelors degree in Business, Real Estate, or a related field is a plus).
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in title examination, underwriting, or a related role within the Escrow & Title industry.
  • Experience with Title work on sectional communities and Lot & Block title work.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of real estate transactions, title insurance, and escrow procedures.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and title software systems (e.g., SoftPro, ResWare, or similar).
  • Exceptional attention to detail and ability to analyze complex title documents.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with a customer-focused mindset.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote setting and meet strict deadlines in a high-paced environment.
  • Familiarity with Arizona-specific real estate laws and regulations is a plus.
