Position Overview :

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Part-Time School Social Worker to join our team and foster positive transformation in the lives of elementary school students.

Hours : 8 am-4 pm

Grade Levels : K-8th grade

Location : Chicago, IL, 60624

Caseload : Typically around 30 students

In this position, you will :

• Play a crucial part in supporting kindergarten through 8th-grade students
• Work within one school, with another social worker within the building
• Participate in bimonthly department meetings

Responsibilities :

• Provide targeted support to identified students in the elementary setting.
• Implement crisis intervention strategies to ensure student well-being and success.
• Advocate for students’ holistic welfare (social, emotional, academic).
• Cross-functional collaboration with teachers and families to understand how to best meet student needs.
• Provide push-in and pull-out services as needed
• Facilitate IEP meetings
• Develop and track interventions to understand IEP effectiveness.
• Additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications :

• Master’s (MSW) or Doctoral degree in Social Work
• License eligible in the State of Washington
• Previous experience in a PreK-5 setting preferred
