Maximus TCS (Technology and Consulting Services) Internal Job Profile Code : TCS022, T4, Band 7 Job Description : As a Cloud Security Architect / Engineer at Maximus Federal, you will play a crucial role in securing our customer's cloud infrastructure and applications.
You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining security measures to protect data, software, and hardware in cloud environments.
The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in cloud security, with a specific focus on the needs and requirements of federal agencies.
Key Responsibilities :
- Design and implement secure cloud-based architectures for federal agency clients, ensuring alignment with their specific security requirements.
- Conduct in-depth security assessments and audits of cloud environments, utilizing tools such as AWS Inspector, Azure Security Center, or Google Cloud Security Command Center.
- Develop, maintain, and enforce cloud security policies and procedures, incorporating industry best practices and federal compliance standards (e.
g., FedRAMP, NIST SP 800 series).
- Integrate advanced security technologies into cloud infrastructures, including identity and access management (IAM), encryption, intrusion detection / prevention systems, and security information and event management (SIEM).
- Lead incident response and forensic analysis activities within cloud environments.
- Collaborate with IT and cybersecurity teams to embed security into the DevOps pipeline, leveraging automation tools like Terraform, Ansible, or Chef for secure infrastructure provisioning.
- Provide expertise in container security and orchestration tools (e.g., Kubernetes, Docker) within cloud environments.
- Stay abreast of emerging security threats, vulnerabilities, and controls in cloud computing and advise on risk management strategies.
Required Skills :
- Applicants must be able to pass a government required background investigation. Additionally, applicants must be able to work for any employer without sponsorship now or in the future.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field, or an equivalent level of professional experience.
- A minimum of 7 years of hands-on experience in cloud security, specifically addressing the needs of federal agencies and proven ability to troubleshoot complex security issues in cloud environments.
- An experience in leading large-scale cloud transformation projects in federal agencies.
- One of the following certifications is required :
- CISSP
- CISM
- CCSP
- Or equivalent security professional certification
Desired Skills :
- Highly desired possession of an active security clearance for Top Secret or higher.
- Strong understanding of federal agency requirements and regulations (e.g., FedRAMP, ZTA, NIST).
- Expert-level proficiency in AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform, substantiated by current associate, specialty, or professional cloud platform certifications.
- PMP Certification is highly desirable.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in fast-paced environments.
- Strong communication and leadership skills.
