job_description.job_card.job_descriptionProvide complete dental care to patients to include preventive care, education, and required dental treatment Record patient-dentist transactions as they occur in the patient’s dental record Educate patients in the general promotion of oral health related disease prevention Observe and provide guidance to dental students who are performing services at the health center Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to improve health outcomes Provide professional perspective and direction in development of the dental care plan and strategic plan for the health center Graduate of an accredited school of dentistry with an unrestricted license to practice dentistry in the state of Nebraska Knowledge of public health principles and practices is preferred Demonstrated professional commitment to providing services to medically under-served individuals Ability to foster strong patient-provider relationships Ability to effectively communicate both spoken and in writing Minimum of two years of clinical experience preferred Live and work in a friendly community conveniently located in the heart of Nebraska Home of Hastings College Access to parks, river and lake recreation, wildlife, and outdoor activities such as hiking, fishing, and camping Enjoy a thriving arts scene with Hastings Museum, community theater productions, and many local galleries Vibrant historic downtown district offering specialty retail, dining, and entertainment options And so much more!
