What You'll Do

NOTE : This role is specifically seeking candidates to serve primarily in the US Public Sector as part of BCG X's Data Science chapter, but also open to commercial and private sector engagements where required.

Ideal candidate requirements given client and contract / portfolio requirements include US Citizenship, active security clearance (e.

g. DoD Secret / Top Secret), prior expertise with portfolio and project management of US federal government agencies in a technology consulting context is preferred.

Our BCG X teams own the full analytics value-chain end to end : framing new business challenges, designing innovative algorithms, implementing, and deploying scalable solutions, and enabling colleagues and clients to fully embrace AI.

Our product offerings span from fully custom-builds to industry specific leading edge AI software solutions.

As a Lead AI software engineer, you will be part of our rapidly growing team, helping to build the next generation of AI solutions.

You'll partner with clients in various BCG regions and industries, focusing on key topics like climate change. Your responsibilities will include :

• Spearheading the advancement of AI solutions and collaborating with diverse teams
• Designing and implementing AI solutions to solve complex business challenges
• Guiding non-technical teams and consultants in effective strategies for successful software development.
• Optimizing and enhancing computational efficiency of algorithms and software design
• Participating in thought leadership activities, such as publishing scientific papers and speaking at conferences

What You'll Bring

We are seeking individuals who demonstrate a strong passion for software development, large-scale data analytics, and driving organizational transformation toward AI-led innovation.

• Proficiency in Python and experience applying software development practices and standards
• Strong knowledge of the full software development lifecycle
• Experience optimizing algorithms and software design for computational efficiency
• Motivation to work in a dynamic environment where client collaboration is key.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and intellectual curiosity across a breadth of industries and topics

C. The first-year base compensation for this role is $225,000.

Lead AI Software Engineer : $225,400 USD

In addition to your base salary, you will also be eligible for an annual discretionary performance bonus and BCG's Profit Sharing and Retirement Fund (PSRF) contribution.
