Quality Engineer for our well established and growing contract manufacturer client in San Jose, CA. Under the direction of the Quality Manager, will be responsible to prepare, schedule, and perform system, process, and product level audits in compliance with internal / external Quality Management System (QMS).
Maintain company-wide corrective / preventive action system. Duties include company-wide documentation system : updates including writing standard operating procedures, control plans, maintenance, distribution, engineering change notice changes, training records, and tracking.
Lead the product and process level qualification programs including publishing reports (process and product level qualification, reliability indices, and other industry compliance.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS :

Performs QMS, process, product level audits and reports.
Identify potential risks in new regulations with the company's ISO programs (ISO 9001, ISO 14000, IATF 16949) Maintain company documentation system.
Maintain deviation wavier system and tracking data base.
Maintain company quality management system (QMS).
Issue's Engineering Change Notice (ECN) numbers.
Assist Leadership and Engineering team with revising specifications and creating ECNs
Distribute specifications and Engineering Change Notice (ECN) upon completion.
Generate monthly quality department and QMS KPI's (Excel and PowerPoint).
Assisting in or creating work instructions, standard operating procedures, and able to provide training to all level of employees : operators, leads, supervisors, technicians, engineers, and managers.
Collaborate with Leadership and Training team to roll out required training on new and updated ECNs
Production record retriever used for analysis.
Maintain and track on-going qualification process.
Coordinate or lead product and process level qualifications.
Cross training for other jobs is required so that employees can occasionally fill-in, in other departments, when required such as other engineering projects.
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE :
Bachelor's degree At least three (3+) years of experience in Quality or Process Engineering
Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office 365 (Outlook, Excel, Word, Project, PowerPoint, MS Teams) and Adobe Acrobat.
Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills
Must have excellent technical writing skills
Bachelor's College degree in Electronic Engineering
