ENTRY-LEVEL BRIDGE ENGINEER

Colliers Engineering & Design is seeking an Entry-Level Civil / Structural Bridge Engineer to assist on a variety of public and private sector infrastructure projects in Albany, NY!

Responsibilities :

• The selected candidate will work in the Northeast Bridges & Structures group of the Companys Infrastructure Division on various projects including new or rehabilitated highway, rail and pedestrian bridges and culverts, retaining walls and temporary structures for contractors.
• Responsibilities will include the preparation of a variety of engineering analyses and computations, CAD drawings, technical reports and cost estimates.
• Close coordination with your engineering peers in the highway / traffic, construction inspection and water resource divisions.
• Occasional field work and bridge inspection duties may be required.
• Opportunities to experience and participate in the design of structural projects for other related Infrastructure Division departments including Rail, Waterway Structures and Hydropower.

Qualifications :

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil / Structural Engineering
• 0-2 years experience
• EIT certification preferred
• Ability to work in a professional team-oriented environment
• Strong work ethic and willingness for continued learning
• Knowledge of NYSDOT, AASHTO and AREMA design codes a plus
• Knowledge using AutoCAD and / or MicroStation a plus
