About The Position
Job Title : Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) Job Specialty : Advanced Surgical - Operating Room Job Duration : 13 weeks Shift : 7 AM - 7 PM, 12-hour day shifts Guaranteed Hours : 48 hours per week Experience : Minimum of 1 year of experience preferred License : CST is preferred but not required Certifications : BLS required Must-Have : Experience with a variety of case types, comfortability wearing lead, Cerner experience for RNs Job Description : Interview as soon as possible;
earlier start dates will be prioritized.- Contract length can extend to 26 weeks, but not required.- The facility has 411 licensed beds and is a Level II Trauma Center with 22 operating rooms.
- Cases cover all ages, including Pediatrics and Adults, offering 26 service lines.- Specific case experience includes ENT, General and Orthopedic Pediatrics, Neurosurgery, Trauma / General, Vascular, Urology, ENT, GYN, Orthopedics, Robotics, Ophthalmology, Thoracic, and Maxillofacial.
- Average of 60 cases performed per day.- Role includes working under supervision from managers, assistant managers, and team leaders across eight service lines, with additional support from CRNAs, anesthesiologists, and anesthesia techs.
- Orientations include two days with a preceptor.- Weekend rotation includes working one weekend day per 4-week schedule;
CSTs may work more than one weekend day.- Call requirements involve 2-3 call shifts per 4-week period, which may include emergency coverage.
Major holidays are celebrated in the operating room, with minimal holiday work expectations.This job is an excellent opportunity for those looking to expand their experience in a dynamic surgical environment.
