Software Engineer

Allegion is looking for a Software Engineer to work as part of a highly engaged small team within a global organization of 12,000+ employees, representing 30+ brands (including Schlage, Von Duprin and LCN) focused on safety, security and access management.

You’ll work on solutions that will enable seamless access and help keep you and your loved ones safe and secure where they work, live and thrive.

What You’ll Do

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyse, design, and implement code
• Develop and maintain scalable and high-performance web applications
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to application functionality, performance, and scalability
• Conduct code reviews to ensure best practices are followed and maintain code quality
• Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code that adheres to software development best practices and coding standards.
• Stay updated with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices in software development and apply them to enhance our software applications.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues that may arise in software applications, providing timely and effective solutions.

What We’re Looking For

• Bachelor’s Degree (EE or CS preferred) or equivalent in years of relevant work experience
• 0-5 years of experience developing software with expertise in cloud solutions.
• Proficient in developing software with expertise in any programming language
• A desire to work building solutions in the cloud (AWS, Azure, GCP)
• Proficient in using code management / repositories (GIT, Azure DevOps, etc.)
• Excellent communication and written skills
• Experience in creating serverless applications with AWS services framework (Lambda, Dynamo DB, etc.)
• Experience defining, developing, and maintaining GraphQL and RESTful services
• Experience with Continuous Integration (CI) and Continuous Delivery (CD) pipelines
• Experience designing, developing, and maintaining a cloud-based, production software system using AWS, Azure, or GCP
• Experience in Jira; managing build pipelines, deployments, environment monitoring
• Experience with IoT web experience
• Fluency in writing code using any strongly typed language
• Experience working with firmware and systems engineering teams

Compensation : This range is provided by Allegion. Your actual pay will be based on your skills and experience.

• The expected Base Salary Range : $93,050 - $140,000. The actual compensation will be determined based on experience and other factors permitted by law.
• Bonus Eligible : Yes
