The Surgical Center Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for providing care to patients before and after surgery. This includes assessing patients, developing care plans, implementing nursing interventions, and modifying care plans as needed.
The RN also ensures patient and employee safety, communicates effectively with colleagues, and participates in departmental competencies.
Additionally, the RN completes patient assessments, establishes IVs, and participates in the time out process with the OR RN.
